ODM MP Millie Odhiambo Flies To The US To Support Her Sister During Tragic Loss

ODM MP Millie Odhiambo has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Kenyan.

 Wider African communities in California for their support following the passing of her brother-in-law, Dr. Reverend Canon John Limo.

In a social media post on Sunday, November 9, Odhiambo shared that she had spent a week with her sister, Violet, in Apple Valley, California, organizing the repatriation of Dr. Limo’s body to Kenya.

The late cleric is scheduled to be buried on November 20 in Lambwe Valley.

“I must thank the Kenyan community in California and across the United States for their amazing support. 

People would drive over three hours just to keep her company,” Odhiambo wrote, highlighting the commitment and solidarity shown by the diaspora.

She noted that individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds including Luos, Kisiis, Kikuyus, Kalenjins 

And Luhyas came together, transcending tribal affiliations to support the grieving family.

Odhiambo also acknowledged the contributions of other African communities in the region.

“This level of unity and solidarity should be embraced and emulated at home by all,” she added. 

Emphasizing the importance of collective support and compassion in times of personal loss.

The MP’s message resonated widely, as many in the diaspora and at home shared condolences .

And expressed admiration for the cohesion displayed during a difficult period.

Dr. Reverend Canon John Edward Limo, remembered for his spiritual leadership and service. 

Will be laid to rest in Lambwe Valley, where family, friends, and well-wishers are expected to pay their respects.
