Pauline Njoroge Warns Mt Kenya After Ruto’s Warm Reception in Kiambu

Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge has cautioned residents of the Mt Kenya region following President William Ruto’s recent visit to Kiambu County, where he received an enthusiastic welcome from large crowds.

In a social media post shared on Sunday, Njoroge reacted to images of the President addressing packed rallies, warning that such displays of support could significantly shape the political landscape ahead of the 2027 General Election.

According to Njoroge, the warm reception was not accidental. She argued that President Ruto understands the political dynamics of the Mt Kenya region and is deliberately engaging voters in ways that resonate strongly with them.

She suggested that the President is skilled at giving audiences what they want to hear and using public enthusiasm to his political advantage.

Njoroge warned residents against dismissing the significance of the massive crowds, saying the political message goes far beyond the region itself.

She noted that packed rallies, loud cheers and visible excitement are closely observed by leaders and voters from other parts of the country, who may interpret them as proof that Ruto still commands strong support in Mt Kenya.

According to her, such perceptions can influence national politics by convincing undecided politicians and communities that the President remains the frontrunner.
Impact on 2027 race

The Jubilee official argued that if other regions conclude that Ruto has firm control of Mt Kenya, they may choose to align with him early in anticipation of victory in 2027.

She posed that political actors often prefer backing a perceived winner rather than risking isolation by supporting alternative candidates.

In her view, this creates a self-reinforcing cycle where public enthusiasm translates into broader political momentum.

Njoroge further observed that perception plays a powerful role in politics, sometimes outweighing policy debates or performance.

She claimed that President Ruto has mastered the ability to project strength by combining political strategy, financial resources and loyal supporters to build a convincing image of dominance.

According to her, this image can be just as influential as actual numbers at the ballot.
A cautionary note

She concluded by urging Mt Kenya residents to remain politically alert and think carefully about the long-term consequences of their public political choices.
