Happening: Bus Ferrying Students Back to School Overturns at Kimende Along Nairobi–Nakuru Highway

Several people have been injured after a public service vehicle (PSV) bus rolled at the Kimende area along the busy Nairobi–Nakuru highway.

The accident involved a Guardian Angel bus that was ferrying students back to school as learning institutions reopen across the country.

Witnesses reported that the bus lost control when its brakes failed, forcing it to veer off the road before rolling into a ditch.

Local residents rushed to the site immediately after the crash. They worked together to rescue trapped passengers before emergency teams arrived.

Several students and other occupants sustained injuries ranging from cuts and bruises to broken limbs.

The injured were quickly taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while those with minor injuries received first aid at the scene.

Images from the scene show the bus badly damaged at the bottom of the ditch.

The front section of the vehicle was crushed, and the windshield was completely shattered, showing the impact of the accident.

Luggage and personal belongings were scattered around the crash site.

Police have cordoned off the area to allow investigations to begin.

Traffic along the highway has been temporarily disrupted as emergency teams work to clear the wreckage and restore normal flow.

Drivers have been urged to ensure their vehicles are in good mechanical condition, especially during this period when many students are travelling.

Police also reminded motorists to exercise caution on the roads to prevent similar accidents and save lives.
