Kitale Residents Stunned as Suspected Laptop Thieves Crash Shortly After Stealing from a Banker

In a dramatic turn of events in Kitale, Kenya, a group of suspected thieves were seriously injured after crashing their vehicle moments after allegedly stealing a laptop worth Ksh 45,000 from a local banker early this week.

According to neighbours and eyewitnesses, the suspects ambushed the banker near his home in the Kitale Township area just after sunrise.

The banker had exited his car while returning from an early meeting when the group reportedly overpowered him and grabbed his laptop, before jumping into a waiting vehicle.

The driver sped away in an apparent bid to escape, but within minutes lost control of the car along a nearby bend.

The vehicle flipped several times, leaving at least three of the suspects with serious injuries. Witnesses quickly alerted local motorists, who rushed to help and called for emergency services.

The banker, visibly shaken but unharmed, later identified his stolen property when it was recovered at the crash scene.

Police officers arrived and took the injured suspects to hospital, where they are being treated while investigations continue.

Local authorities have since urged residents to report incidents of theft quickly and warned criminals that law enforcement is intensifying patrols in the area.READ MORE..............
