My Uncle Endured Sleepless Nights And Constant Fear As Strange Night Incidents Disrupted His Peace Until He Took Action

Growing up in a small village near Busia, we often heard stories about night runners. Some people said it was just superstition.

Others said it was real but only affected certain families. Honestly, I never thought it would happen to someone so close to me.

But last year, it happened to my uncle.

Uncle Joseph had just built a new house after many years of saving money while working in Nairobi. It was a beautiful house — big, with a nice roof and a fence around it.

Everybody admired it. He moved in with his wife and young children and was finally happy.

The peace did not last long. Strange things started happening immediately. Every night, around two or three in the morning, someone would run around the house.

They would knock on the windows, throw stones at the roof, and even scratch the doors. Sometimes, it sounded like a whole group of people were running in circles.

Uncle Joseph tried everything. He installed bright security lights. He bought fierce dogs. He even slept with a panga under his bed.

Nothing worked. The dogs would bark helplessly but no one could be seen. Every morning, there were no footprints. No signs. Just tired dogs and frightened children.

Within a month, Uncle Joseph had lost weight. He barely slept. His wife also looked stressed. The children started wetting their beds because of fear.

The whole family was slowly falling apart. People started avoiding his home, saying bad luck had entered it.

One afternoon, after a very bad night where even stones were thrown at the roof, my uncle came to my father’s house.

He looked exhausted. He sat down heavily and said, “Brother, I cannot do this anymore. I will even sell the house.”READ FULL SORY.
