The shocking incident has sparked heated conversations online, with many Kenyans expressing concern over rising cases of jealousy, unresolved relationships, and emotional violence among former couples.

According to close relatives, the woman had travelled back to Kenya from the United States to attend the burial of a family member.

However, tension reportedly began after photos and videos of her with her new husband surfaced on Facebook days before the funeral.

Friends claimed the posts quickly attracted attention back home, including from her former husband, who was allegedly angered by the public display of her new relationship. Family sources say the situation worsened when the two unexpectedly met at the funeral gathering.

Witnesses at the funeral claimed the confrontation began shortly after mourners gathered around the compound following church prayers.

The ex-husband allegedly confronted the woman, accusing her of humiliating him publicly by posting romantic photos with another man online.

Voices reportedly rose as mourners attempted to separate the two before the situation turned physical. Some attendees described scenes of panic as family members rushed to intervene while others tried to calm the furious man.

One elderly mourner who witnessed the confrontation said emotions were already high because of the burial, making the incident even more painful to watch.

“People came here to mourn, but suddenly everyone was screaming and running. It was heartbreaking because children and elderly people were also present,” she explained.

Videos recorded by bystanders later spread online, drawing mixed reactions from social media users, many of whom condemned violence in relationships regardless of past disagreements.
