Gachagua Apologises to Kieni Voters, Slams Mt Kenya MP in Strong Political Rebuke

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has publicly apologised to voters in Kieni Constituency, stating that he regrets supporting their current Member of Parliament during the 2022 General Election.

In his remarks, Gachagua said he made “political mistakes” during the campaign period and now seeks to correct them ahead of the next electoral cycle.

He issued the apology directly to residents, urging them to consider a different political direction in future elections.

He also criticised the Kieni MP over his stance on youth employment and labour export programmes, arguing that some overseas work arrangements risk exposing young Kenyans to exploitation if not properly structured and supported with adequate skills training.
