Love Triangle Turns Messy as Kitui Woman Seeks to Demolish Lover’s House Funded by Wealthy Older Man

 

Residents of a quiet village in Kitui County were left in shock after a woman allegedly threatened to demolish a house she had built for her younger lover using money she received from an older wealthy man popularly referred to as a “mubaba.” WATCH VIDEO/ READ FULL ARTICLE.

The dramatic love triangle has since become the talk of the area, with neighbours revealing that the woman had invested heavily in the relationship, hoping it would eventually lead to marriage.

According to people close to the family, the woman met the young man two years ago and quickly fell deeply in love with him despite warnings from relatives and friends. 

Determined to prove her commitment, she reportedly used financial support from her elderly sponsor to purchase building materials and construct a modern three-bedroom house for the lover. However, things allegedly turned sour after the young man started entertaining another woman behind her back.

Neighbours say tension escalated after the woman confronted the young man about the alleged affair. Witnesses claim loud arguments could be heard from the compound late at night, with the woman demanding that the man either refund her money or vacate the house immediately. 

At one point, she allegedly threatened to hire workers to bring the entire structure down brick by brick.

“She kept saying she sacrificed everything for him and now he was embarrassing her with another woman,” one neighbour revealed. 

“People tried calming her down, but she was extremely heartbroken because everyone in the village knew she financed the house.”

The situation reportedly became even more complicated after the older sponsor discovered what his money had been used for. 

Sources claim the elderly man was furious after learning that the funds he regularly sent for “business projects” had instead been used to build a home for another man.
