The death of 30-year-old businesswoman and mother of two Davine Kwamboka has sparked grief and outrage in Migori County after investigators uncovered CCTV footage believed to show her final movements before she was killed.
The footage, which has become a key piece of evidence, reportedly shows Davine arriving at her home accompanied by her husband and another man.
Investigators say the three entered the compound together before going into the house, where they remained for some time.
Police are now trying to establish what happened inside the residence.
Detectives reviewing the CCTV recordings reportedly observed several individuals later removing her body from the house.
The footage is said to show the suspects struggling to transport the body, with a motorcycle rider allegedly assisting them. Investigators believe Davine had already died by that time.
The case took a significant turn when police arrested her husband, Johnson Nyandigisi Bukundo, and a taxi driver.
Authorities said the two were intercepted while allegedly transporting the body toward an area near the Isebania border.
The incident has left family members demanding answers and justice.
Relatives say they are struggling to understand how Davine entered her home alive in the company of two men but was later found dead under suspicious circumstances.
Police at Isebania Police Station have confirmed that six suspects are currently being held as investigations continue.
Detectives are working to reconstruct the events leading to Davine's death and determine the involvement of each suspect.
As the inquiry progresses, the CCTV footage remains central to the case, with residents hoping it will help uncover the truth behind a killing that has shocked the community and left a family mourning the loss of a loved one.
