My name is Esther, a woman from Kisii, Kenya, and I want to share my story to encourage women who are struggling with delayed marriage, commitment issues, and emotional frustration in relationships. For more than 10 years, I stayed faithfully with the man I loved believing that one day we would finally make our relationship official through a proper wedding and marriage ceremony.

At the beginning, everything seemed promising because he constantly assured me that he was serious about our future together. Whenever I asked about marriage, he always said the timing was not yet right and promised that our wedding would happen soon. Because I loved and trusted him deeply, I remained patient and continued supporting him faithfully for many years.However, as time passed, the promises never became reality. Every year there was always another excuse delaying the wedding plans.

Sometimes he blamed financial problems, family disagreements, work pressure, or other challenges. Meanwhile, I watched many people we started life with getting married and building stable families while my own relationship remained uncertain and stagnant.The emotional pain became unbearable because I started feeling used and unappreciated after sacrificing so many years without commitment. Friends and relatives constantly questioned why I was still waiting despite spending such a long time in the relationship. Some people even advised me to leave because they believed he would never marry me officially.

Deep inside, I still loved him and hoped things could change, but I also felt confused because I could not understand what was truly delaying our marriage after all those years together.
