A cloud of grief has engulfed a family in Bahati Sub-county, Nakuru after their kin who had been missing for nearly two weeks was found dead in a gruesome state.
According to sources, Jackline Wangui Njoroge, whose body was recovered from a quarry in Kogoto, Bahati Constituency, was found with severe injuries that made it hard for investigative officers to identify her.
Sources privy to the recovery said the body had already started decomposing and was found with severe injuries on the head, with eyes and ears missing.
Aside from missing eyes and ears, Jackline Wangui was found with no flesh covering her skull and that reportedly gave the officers who went to collect her remains a hard task in trying to know her identify at the quarry.
When she was discovered, she wore a blue trouser, a red hoodie and a pair of socks.
Before she mysteriously died, Jackline Wangui was last seen alive in public eye on the night of Friday, August 14, 2026.
That night, she was reportedly seen walking along the busy Kanu Street in Nakuru CBD, but how she went missing from that point is still a mystery.
As a result of Jackline Wangui's disappearance, her relatives filed a report of a missing person at he Bondeni Police Station in Nakuru East Sub-county. Her relatives also shared posters bearing her images online seeking help to trace her.
Efforts to establish her whereabouts ended tragically after her body was discovered from the Kogoto quarry by a man who was grazing his animals.
