DCP Secretary of Planning and Economic Affairs, Dr. Peter Mbae, has expressed concern over the alleged attack on Liz Muthoni Mbugua.
Murang'a County Assembly Deputy Majority Leader and Kinyona MCA.
According to Dr. Mbae, the DCP has received information that Mbugua was sprayed with a chemical substance believed to be dangerous by unknown assailants.
Dr. Mbae stated, "The DCP party has received information that Kinyona MCA and Murang'a Deputy Majority Leader Liz Mbugua.
Who is eyeing the County Women Rep position on DCP, has been attacked and sprayed with a chemical... She's been rushed to a hospital in Nairobi."
Kenyans have taken to social media to wish Mbugua a speedy recovery and demand a thorough investigation to apprehend the suspects.
This incident comes amid tensions between DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua and President William Ruto.
who recently claimed Raila Odinga was his only competitor, prompting Gachagua to retort that the President's real competition is with Kenyans.
