Maanzo Responds after Ruto was Received by Huge Crowd in Kalonzo's Backyard

Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo has responded after President William Ruto was received by a mammoth crowd in Makueni on Wednesday,on 13

Speaking during local media interview, Maanzo alleged that most of the people who attended the rally were ferried to attend Ruto's gathering.

He warned Ruto's effort in the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's backyard won't bear fruits.

" No elected leader of Ukambani was invited to the president’s tour. 

Most of the people who were there were ferried and dispersed with teargas and bullets.

 The trip to Ukambani will not bear any fruit, and it is a waste of resources." Maanzo said.

Maanzo was among the leaders allied to Kalonzo who accompanied President Ruto during his visit to the Ukambani region.

Yesterday, President Ruto has stated that Makueni Governor Kilonzo Junior does not need anyone’s permission to work with him.

The remarks were made during the President’s four-day development tour of the Ukambani region on Wednesday.

 November 12, 2025, where Kilonzo Junior, despite being part of the opposition that has been critical of the current government, joined the President in his county during one of his stopovers.
