President William Ruto on Wednesday dismissed claims by DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua that opposition pressure is giving him sleepless nights.
Speaking during a rally in Bungoma, Ruto said he sleeps well, crediting his team for keeping him on track.
He noted that even when he has bills in Parliament, he can goes home and rest peacefully. The President praised Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, noting that with his support in Parliament, he is confident of pushing his agenda successfully.
This response comes after Gachagua suggested that Ruto had lost weight due to constant criticism from the United Opposition.
“Even with all that money, he does not sleep. You can see how much weight he has lost. He has billions but cannot get rest,” Gachagua said, ridiculing the President.
Ruto, however, appeared unfazed, as he sustained attacks at the United Opposition principals.
