A family in Nyamasimbi village, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County, is still struggling to understand what happened after their daughter, believed to have died in an accident and buried seven months ago, suddenly resurfaced alive.
The woman, identified as Sarah Kwamboka, disappeared in November 2024 after her mother, Teresa Gesare, sent her to visit her grandmother in Sansora.
When she failed to return, the family reported her missing and began a frantic search.
Several months later, in February, the family received heartbreaking news. They were informed that Sarah had allegedly been knocked down by a vehicle in Metamaywa, and her body had been taken to a mortuary in Keroka.
“When I went to see the body, I believed it was my daughter. It had been in the mortuary for nearly two months, and the timing matched when Sarah went missing,” Teresa explained.
Believing they had finally found her, the family prepared for burial. In deep sorrow, they laid the body to rest, thinking their daughter was gone forever.
However, their grief turned into shock and confusion when Sarah recently called home, saying she was alive and living in Nyamira County.CONTINUE READING........................
