Ngunjiri Wambugu Alleges What DCP Supporters Were Spotted Doing Inside Jubilee Party Truck

Political temperatures in Ol Kalou have intensified after former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu appeared to hint at simmering cracks within Jubilee Party campaigns during the ongoing by-election push.

His remarks, tied to a campaign convoy, have now stirred murmurs over where loyalties truly lie as the battle for political dominance gathers momentum.

Ngunjiri sparked fresh political chatter after reacting to a Jubilee-painted truck during campaign activities, admitting he had allegedly realized that several people riding in the vehicle were linked to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s Democracy for Citizens Party.

His sentiments appeared to expose an undercurrent of political disquiet within Jubilee ranks, especially in a region where loyalty to former Deputy President Gachagua has increasingly become difficult to ignore.

Ngunjiri seemed to suggest that while some leaders may still be visibly campaigning under party colours, their political conviction may be drifting elsewhere.

The unfolding situation in Ol Kalou has once again revived speculation over the waning grip of traditional political outfits in parts of Mt Kenya.

Political observers and local residents following the by-election closely have increasingly pointed to former Deputy President Gachagua’s growing influence, particularly after the launch of the Democracy for Citizens Party.

Even as Jubilee maintains visibility on the ground, murmurs of divided commitment continue to shape conversations among supporters.

Some locals now argue that party symbols alone may no longer determine political direction if grassroots mobilizers quietly sympathize with rival formations.

With the Ol Kalou by-election now attracting heightened scrutiny, the real political test may not merely be who commands the loudest rallies, but who silently commands the hearts of supporters behind the scenes.

The unfolding events may ultimately reveal whether party loyalty in Mt Kenya remains intact or is quietly undergoing a political metamorphosis.
