Woman Forced to Return Stolen Child After Baby Cries Nonstop Inside Bag During Alleged Escape Attempt

A suspected child abduction incident took a dramatic turn after a woman allegedly returned a stolen baby when the infant’s persistent crying exposed her plan to smuggle the child across the Kenya–Tanzania border.

According to preliminary reports, the woman is said to have taken the baby from its home under unclear circumstances before concealing the child inside a bag.

She then attempted to travel toward the Tanzanian border, reportedly hoping to avoid detection. However, the situation quickly escalated when the baby began crying uncontrollably, drawing attention from people nearby.

Fearing discovery, the woman is believed to have abandoned her plan and returned the child. Witnesses claim she handed the baby back after realizing the cries would make it impossible to proceed unnoticed. The child was later confirmed to be safe, with no immediate reports of serious injury.

Authorities have since taken interest in the case, with investigations underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident, including how the suspect accessed the child and her intended motive.

Law enforcement officers are also expected to review whether there may be links to wider child trafficking networks operating across borders.READ FULL STORY.
