Kuresoi Mother Last Spotted With Blanket Found Murdered, Body Parts Stashed In Sacks

A sombre mood has engulfed Kioo village in Kuresoi North Sub-County after a 50-year-old woman, who was last reportedly seen carrying a blanket, was later found brutally murdered with her body allegedly dismembered and concealed inside sacks in a disturbing case that has stunned residents and authorities alike.

The victim, identified as Everlyn Nyarinda, is believed to have been killed in horrifying circumstances, with police suspecting her husband, Samuel Nyarinda, in connection with the crime.

The incident has left the local community struggling to come to terms with the gruesome discovery.

According to family members, the ordeal began when the suspect contacted their daughter on Saturday morning, claiming that Everlyn had left home unexpectedly and was missing.

He allegedly told the family that she had gone away carrying only a mattress and a blanket, a claim that immediately raised suspicion among relatives.

Speaking to Chamgei FM, the deceased’s sister, Elizabeth Nyanchera, said the family initially tried to trace her whereabouts but received no helpful leads.

She added that repeated attempts to reach the suspect by phone were unsuccessful, deepening their concerns.

“We tried searching for her without success and made calls, but the phone was not being picked up,” Nyanchera said, describing the growing panic that gripped the family as hours passed without any sign of Everlyn.

As the search intensified, the family decided to visit the suspect’s home to demand answers.

However, Nyanchera said the situation quickly turned tense, with the man allegedly refusing to cooperate and becoming confrontational.

“We had to storm his house to ask about his whereabouts, but he was hesitant and started to threaten us,” she said.

What followed, according to reports, was a horrifying discovery inside the house.

Upon forcing their way into the bedroom, family members allegedly found human body parts packed inside five cement bags, prompting immediate alarm and the involvement of police officers.

A police report further indicated that investigators recovered what is believed to be the murder weapon a blood-stained axe with a wooden handle at the scene.

Authorities also said a five-litre yellow plastic container containing what is suspected to be blood was found inside the house, adding to the disturbing evidence collected.

Area Assistant Chief Daniel Korir confirmed the incident, noting that the couple had a history of domestic disputes that had previously required police intervention.
