Several Students Rushed To Hospital After Another Fire Incident At School, Details

In the last several hours or so, a number of students of the Bishop Sulumeti Girls Secondary School in Lumakanda, Kakamega County, have spent the night at a nearby hospitals.

They were actually rushed there to receive treatment following a fire incident that happened at their school on Sunday night, that left some of them injured and unconscious.

This was clear in a video that has now emerged on social media, that showed how several students were at one local hospital lying down on different beds.

The students were actually rushed there by police officers, who responded switly to the incident as shown in the screenshots below.

What caused the fire?
According to reports, the fire at Bishop Sulumeti Girls began after the students conducted a protest some several hours earlier.

The students were actually frustrated by the current situation of their school, where water is not available, which makes it hard for them to do some of the daily activities that require water.

Videos that also emerged online showed how the students braved the cold as they conducted the protest at night.
