"Leave Mbadi Alone" Why Kimani Ichung'wah Is Defending Mbadi Against Sifuna’s Strike

Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah has declared all-out war on ODM Senator Edwin Sifuna by exploding a major legislative bombshell.

He says the ODM Secretary General has zero moral authority to preach to the Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi and Budget Committee Chairman Samuel Atandi on how to handle their responsibilities.

The dramatic war in the legislature followed immediately Sifuna mounted the Senate rostrum to lambast his ODM brothers for deliberately betraying the dying wish of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga concerning the concept of devolution.

According to Sifuna, Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi and MP Samuel Atandi betrayed a political promise which had been made to allocate each devolved unit a total shareable amount of Kshs. 450 billion for the financial year in question.

But which eventually ended up at Kshs. 420 billion citing national debt interests among other revenue shortages.

"Edwin Sifuna has absolutely no moral authority to advise an expert like Honorable Atandi or an experienced professional like Treasury CS John Mbadi.

He is the chief extortioner in the Senate who spends time pestering governors rather than drafting real legislation," Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah said.
