SAD: See What a Bodaboda Rider Posted on His WhatsApp Status Before He Died

A heartbreaking video recorded by a Kiambu boda boda rider in his final moments has emerged, shedding new light on the tragic incident in which he allegedly killed his wife and young son before taking his own life.

The rider, identified as Kennedy Kamau from Githunguri, reportedly shared a video of himself crying and appearing deeply distressed on his WhatsApp status shortly before his death.

The clip was accompanied by a lengthy suicide note that explained the emotional struggles he claimed had pushed him to the edge.

According to reports, the video was uploaded at around 1:59 a.m. while most people were asleep.

Investigators and relatives believe Kamau deliberately shared the recording and message so that family members and friends would understand what he was planning before carrying out the tragic act.

In the note, Kamau blamed his problems on a long-standing conflict with his brother.

He claimed the strained relationship had caused him immense emotional pain and had also affected his wife and child.

Despite expressing bitterness over the family dispute, he appealed for reconciliation among relatives after his death.

Kamau also left instructions regarding money he had saved.

He disclosed that he had KSh 203,000 in an M-Shwari Lock Savings account and nearly KSh 20,000 in a KCB joint account. He hoped the funds would be accessed by family members after his death.

The note further revealed that he had been saving the money to process travel documents for a job opportunity in Qatar.

According to his message, he believed the move would have improved his family's future, but that dream was never realised.

He also mentioned several relatives by name and sought forgiveness from his sister, expressing regret that he would no longer be able to support her as he had hoped.

The deaths have left residents of Githunguri in shock and mourning.

Friends, relatives and neighbours continue to struggle with the painful loss of an entire family, while the disturbing video and final message have highlighted the silent personal battles that some people endure away from public view.
