A businessman from Nakuru County has left many people stunned after narrating how he allegedly recovered KSh 12 million just minutes after suspected thieves reportedly stole the cash and attempted to flee.

The trader, identified as 46-year-old James Mwangi, said the incident happened on what had started as a normal business day before events suddenly took a frightening turn.
According to James, he had withdrawn a large amount of money intended for a business transaction involving agricultural supplies and machinery.
He explained that after leaving the bank, he proceeded with a few errands around town before heading to meet business associates.
“I had planned everything carefully,” James recalled. “The money was for an important deal and timing was very critical.”
However, what happened next reportedly caught him completely off guard.
James claims he briefly stepped away from his vehicle while making a stop at a business premises, only to return moments later and discover something was terribly wrong.
“At first, I thought maybe I had forgotten where I placed the bag,” he explained. “Then panic hit me when I realized the money was gone.”
The trader alleged that unknown individuals had somehow gained access to the vehicle and disappeared with the cash.
“I felt like my world had collapsed,” he said. “KSh 12 million is not small money. Years of hard work flashed before my eyes.”
According to James, confusion quickly turned into urgency.
He immediately alerted nearby traders and boda boda riders while also attempting to contact authorities.
As word spread, curious residents reportedly gathered around, trying to understand what had happened.
Some witnesses allegedly claimed they had noticed suspicious individuals moving hurriedly shortly before the businessman raised alarm.
“I remember someone shouting that men were running,” one trader reportedly recalled.
