Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has sparked debate after claiming that some of the biggest challenges facing President William Ruto's administration are being caused by incompetent Cabinet Secretaries.
Speaking during a public event, Matiang’i argued that several government officials have failed to effectively carry out their duties, making it difficult for the government to deliver on its promises to Kenyans.
He suggested that poor performance by some Cabinet Secretaries has negatively affected service delivery and the implementation of key government programmes.
His remarks attracted even more attention when he jokingly stated that if President Ruto needed help in managing the government, he was ready to offer his expertise.
Trusting him, she sent him money through M-Pesa on several occasions, believing his promises that she would be refunded later.
She further states that the financial requests continued for an extended period, but no repayment was ever made.
Whenever she sought clarification or repayment, she claims she was given repeated excuses and reassurances that kept delaying the matter.
The situation reportedly changed when she later reviewed WhatsApp conversations linked to the man.
She alleges that the messages revealed he was involved with multiple women at the same time and had been maintaining several parallel relationships.
She also claims that more than ten other women appeared to have experienced similar circumstances, where they sent him money but did not recover it.
This discovery raised concerns that the pattern may have affected several victims.
Her shock deepened further after she allegedly learned that the man was already married and had a child, a fact she says was deliberately hidden from her throughout their interaction.
She insists she was made to believe he was single and fully committed to her.
She has now come forward publicly, urging caution among people engaged in online or long-distance relationships, especially where financial requests are involved.
She says her experience should serve as a warning against blind trust in digital relationships.
The allegations have sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users expressing sympathy while also calling for greater awareness and caution in matters involving online romance and money transfers.
