Gachagua Drops Bombshell, Claims Ruto Offered Him, Ichung'wah and Ndindi Nyoro Prime Land

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has made a sensational allegation against President William Ruto, claiming the Head of State once offered him and two influential Kenya Kwanza lawmakers large parcels of land.

Speaking during a public address, Gachagua said the offer was also extended to National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

He alleged that he turned down the proposal because he believed accepting such a gift while serving in government would have been inappropriate and could have damaged public confidence in his leadership.

According to Gachagua, leaders occupying senior public offices should avoid receiving valuable gifts that may create doubts about their independence or commitment to serving citizens. He maintained that public officials must always act in a manner that promotes transparency and accountability.

The former Deputy President, however, did not reveal when the alleged offer was made or identify the location and size of the land in question.

His remarks have nevertheless triggered intense reactions online, with supporters and critics expressing mixed opinions over the claims.

The latest statement adds to the growing political fallout between Gachagua and President Ruto.

Since their relationship deteriorated, Gachagua has consistently accused the administration of making decisions that he says do not reflect the promises made to Kenyans during the 2022 election campaign.

By the time of publication, President Ruto, Kimani Ichung'wah and Ndindi Nyoro had not publicly commented on the allegations. Without independent evidence or official confirmation, the claims remain unverified.

Political analysts expect the remarks to heighten political tensions as rival camps continue positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Many Kenyans are now waiting to see whether those mentioned will respond directly or provide clarification on the allegations that have once again placed the country's political leadership under sharp public scrutiny.
