Kithure Kindiki In Trouble as MP Osoro Claims Ruling Camp Could Drop Him for Matiang'i

A fresh political debate has emerged after Silvanus Osoro suggested that Deputy President Kithure Kindiki could be sacrificed if former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i agrees to join the Kenya Kwanza administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a political discussion Osoro claimed that President William Ruto's camp is prepared to make difficult political decisions if doing so strengthens its chances of securing victory in the next election.

According to the legislator bringing Matiang'i into government would significantly boost the coalition's appeal in key voting regions. Osoro argued that Matiang'i remains one of the country's most influential political figures despite being outside government.

He said the former Interior Cabinet Secretary commands respect because of his record in public service and could become a valuable asset to the ruling coalition if he accepts an offer to work with President Ruto.

The remarks have immediately sparked political speculation over the future of Deputy President Kindiki who was appointed to the position after the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua.
