Sifuna Speaks on Working With Kalonzo and Matiang'i in Push to Unseat Ruto

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has once again signalled that he is open to working with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Jubilee's Fred Matiang'i and any other opposition leader committed to removing President William Ruto from office in the 2027 General Election. His latest remarks have reignited debate over the possibility of a united opposition ahead of the polls.

Speaking during a radio interview on Wednesday, Sifuna dismissed speculation about possible presidential and deputy presidential ticket combinations involving himself, Kalonzo and Matiang'i.

He maintained that the opposition should first agree on a common agenda before discussing who should occupy which leadership position.

According to the Nairobi Senator, the priority should be building a coalition based on shared values and policies rather than individual ambitions. He argued that Kenyans are more interested in solutions to the country's challenges than in early campaigns over political positions.
