Manyora points to Nyoro’s strong grassroots delivery in Kiharu particularly education and development programmes as a key asset that resonates with voters tired of pure rhetoric.
His relative youth, economic messaging, and refusal to fully submit to any single kingpin give him room to build an alternative centre of power.
In Manyora’s view, Nyoro’s independent stance allows him to attract those who prefer multiple centres rather than one dominant vehicle. This contrasts with Gachagua’s Democracy for Citizens Party push for “One Mountain, One Agenda, One Party.”
Manyora faults Gachagua for overplaying the consolidation card. By insisting smaller parties dissolve into DCP and framing dissent as betrayal, the former DP risks alienating younger leaders and voters who value pluralism.
That approach, Manyora suggests, creates openings for figures like Nyoro who can present themselves as homegrown, results-oriented alternatives without appearing to seek absolute control.
