Ndindi Nyoro Admits Funding DCP Candidate in Ol Kalou By-Election

Kiharu constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro has revealed that he helped fund the campaign for the Democracy for the Citizens (DCP) Party candidate in the recent Ol Kalou by-election.

Speaking during an exclusive interview at Inooro television, Nyoro disclosed that despite the fact that he was quiet for many months after the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua, they have always maintained a cordial relationship, and contact between them has never faded away.

Nyoro said that even before ditching the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party and forming his People's Party of Kenya (PPK), he first consulted with Rigathi Gachagua and that it is during the consultation that the ex-DP asked for his help when DCP party was campaigning for Sammy Waweru Ngotho in Ol Kalou.

Ndindi Nyoro claimed that before Gachagua asked for his help, the former Deputy President told him that he wanted the DCP party to stamp its authority as the dominant opposition party in Mt Kenya region, and to teach William Ruto and his UDA outfit a strong lesson.

As a result, Ndindi Nyoro claimed that he cheaped in and helped to finance the campaign for the DCP Party candidate Sammy Waweru who finally won the by-election after getting 35,440 votes. His closest Samuel Muchina of UDA party only managed to get 5,450 votes.
