Ruto Calls Opposition “Paid Sycophants” and Accuses Uhuru of Funding Attacks

President William Ruto has intensified his criticism of opposition leaders, accusing them of being paid political proxies working to undermine his administration.

Ruto claimed that some of his political opponents are being funded by their alleged sponsor, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, to attack his government and frustrate the implementation of his agenda.

The President accused the opposition of deliberately criticising government programmes for political purposes rather than offering alternative solutions to the challenges facing Kenyans.

Ruto maintained that his administration remains focused on delivering its development agenda despite criticism from political opponents.

The President also continued defending deductions made through the Social Health Authority (SHA), arguing that the programme is intended to improve access to healthcare for Kenyans.

He said the government's health reforms are aimed at ensuring that Kenyans can access medical services without facing financial difficulties when they fall ill.

Ruto further defended the government's affordable housing programme, saying it is part of efforts to provide decent and affordable homes while creating employment opportunities for young people.
