Former LSK President Nelson Havi Officially Resigns from Ruto’s UDA Party

According to currents news break sources, former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Andayi Havi has officially resigned from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

Havi, who once served as the President of LSK and was known for his strong legal and political views.

Made the announcement through a formal resignation letter addressed to the party leadership.

Havi joined UDA in the period leading up to the 2022 general elections and even contested for the Westlands parliamentary seat under the party’s ticket.

However, he lost the race to Tim Wanyonyi of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Since then, Havi has been relatively quiet in active politics, focusing more on his legal practice and other professional engagements.

In his resignation, Havi expressed gratitude to the UDA party for the opportunity to serve and participate in its activities.

He also thanked President William Ruto and the party members for the support and cooperation he received during his time in the party.

However, he did not give detailed reasons for his decision to quit, only stating that he had chosen to pursue other paths outside the political organization.

Havi’s move has sparked reactions from both political analysts and social media users.

Some observers believe his resignation could be linked to internal party differences or dissatisfaction with how the party is being managed.

Others view it as a personal decision aimed at focusing on his career and public service outside politics.

The UDA party, led by President Ruto, is currently one of the most dominant political parties in Kenya, with members serving in key government positions.

Havi’s resignation adds to a growing list of professionals and politicians who have recently parted ways with various political outfits as they realign ahead of future elections.

Nelson Havi remains a respected lawyer and public figure in Kenya’s legal and political circles.

Many will be watching closely to see what his next move will be after this significant decision.
