"If Uhuru Works With Rigathi I'll Leave Jubilee" Former Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Says, Reveals Reasons

Former Nyeri Member of Parliament, Honorable Ngunjiri Wambugu, has threatened to leave Jubilee .

Following the return back of former president Uhuru Kenyatta joins forces with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Wambugu, in a Facebook post on November 7, 2025, stated that he cannot operate in the politics of Gachagua, having seen what Rigathi has done in .

 If Uhuru was to work with Gachagua I would leave Jubilee immediately. 

I can’t operate in the politics I have seen Gachagua do, even for Uhuru. So if they got into bed, I would disassociate myself with Uhuru, & Jubilee.z

The former Member of Parliament made this statement hours after Uhuru Kenyatta called out Jubilee members for insulting Gachagua.

Uhuru, speaking at a function in Murang'a, urged all Jubilee Party members to engage in mature politics without insults.

"I would like to call upon our members to carry themselves respectfully," Uhuru said. 

"There is no need for anyone to go out there and start saying this and that about any politician.

 I don't like it when I see that so-and-so from the Jubilee Party insulted Gachagua; it's not okay. Our party is not a party of insults."
