Kenyans Finally Told Why President Ruto Will Not Go To Court in 2027, Told What He William Do Instead

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has pointed his fingers at president William Ruto over failed leadership.

Gachagua revealed today during a social media post that opposition coalition will win 2027 general election with a huge margin. Gachagua said that he has already done his mathematics and he is sure that they will win by 5 million votes against William Ruto.

Political analysts and insiders close to State House have now laid it bare: unlike the razor-thin 2022 race that triggered Raila Odinga’s petition (dismissed by the Supreme Court), Ruto is engineering a landslide that leaves no room for credible court challenges.

As he bluntly told the UDA National Governing Council earlier this year, the 2027 election “must not be close.” He wants a win by at least two million votes, powered by a broad UDA-ODM alliance and targeted regional consolidation. No petition. No drama. No “going to court.”

Here’s why this is now crystal clear:
Supreme Court Bench Transformation Underway
Three critical vacancies are looming before August 2027: the death of Justice Mohamed Ibrahim (December 2025), Justice Njoki Ndung’u’s nomination to the ICC (elections December 2026), and Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu’s mandatory retirement in April 2027. The Judicial Service Commission nominates, but President Ruto appoints.

The bench that will hear any election petition just days after the polls will therefore reflect appointments finalised during his tenure. With the court already requiring an odd number of judges to avoid deadlocks, these changes ensure stability... and, critics quietly admit, a bench less likely to entertain last-minute opposition fireworks.
