KDF Soldier Wakes Up Only To Find His Death Certificate Issued

A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier was left shocked and confused after discovering that a death certificate had already been issued in his name while he was still alive and healthy. 

The strange incident has raised serious questions about possible mistakes or illegal dealings within the military records system.

According to reports, the soldier made the discovery when he visited a government office to follow up on personal documents. During the process, officials informed him that records showed he had already been declared dead several months earlier. 

Those words hit home for at least one person who was once firmly in the Kenya Kwanza camp.

In a public address on Wednesday, the former ally did not attempt to defend the decisions that were made or argue with Uhuru's assessment. 

She went the other direction entirely, acknowledging that the warning was valid and that the people who ignored it are now carrying the weight of that call.

"Mzee, we are truly sorry for not listening to your warning. As human beings, we are prone to mistakes, and today we have learned the hard way. Forgive us," she said.

She also turned to Kenyans at large, asking for understanding from a public that has grown increasingly frustrated, and making clear that those involved never set out to see the country arrive at this point.
