Siaya Governor James Orengo has downplayed President William Ruto's chances of winning a second term in the 2027 presidential elections, even if rigging is carried out.
According to the senior counsel, the path to extending William Ruto's term is nearly impossible because demographics are currently working against him.
"I think it is a possibility, even in terms of rigging, but I don't see the pathway to victory for him because the demographics completely work against him," he said.
In addition, Mr. Orengo stated that Dr. William Ruto has already lost political ground in key regions, particularly Mount Kenya, which was critical to his victory in the 2022 elections.
