The suspect, identified as Monica Nyangau Sarange, is accused of playing a key role in receiving and moving money stolen during violent robberies.
Detectives say they tracked her down after following mobile money transactions linked directly to victims of the attacks.
According to investigators, the woman was arrested in Utawala following surveillance that connected her to the flow of stolen funds.
The DCI Headquarters team said the gang is behind several robbery with violence cases, including incidents involving sexual assault and hostage situations.
In one of the attacks reported on June 11, 2026, armed suspects allegedly broke into a home in Ruai, held an entire family captive, and demanded money and valuables.
During the ordeal, victims were assaulted and forced to transfer cash through mobile banking before the attackers stole electronics and other property.
In another incident in Kamulu, the gang reportedly stormed a house, detained the occupants, and compelled them to send money from their mobile wallets and bank accounts.
While fleeing, the suspects caused panic in the neighbourhood, and a resident who responded to the alarm was fatally injured.
Following the wave of attacks, detectives launched a coordinated investigation that later led to the arrest of another suspect, 39-year-old Shadrack Nyandieka Nyakwaba, who was traced to Tassia Estate in Embakasi.
Police say both suspects are now in custody as they await court proceedings.
Investigators are still pursuing additional members of the gang who remain on the run, with efforts ongoing to dismantle the wider network linked to the crimes.
