Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has expressed concern over the conduct of the country's security agencies, saying it is becoming increasingly difficult to defend President William Ruto's administration amid growing allegations of police misconduct and enforced disappearances.
Speaking during a community empowerment event in Kirinyaga, where she issued development support including milk coolers and financial assistance to local SACCOs, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) governor shifted focus to the country's security situation.
Waiguru urged security agencies to carry out their responsibilities professionally, arguing that alleged human rights violations were undermining public confidence in the government and making it difficult for its supporters to defend its record.
