Born Sheryl Cherono on January 7, 2001, in Sotik, Kericho County, Sheryl grew up in Bomet after her parents separated when she was still young. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
Her mother, Anita Kirui, raised Sheryl and her two siblings while working different jobs to provide for the family. Sheryl has often spoken about her mother's sacrifices and how they influenced her determination to succeed.
Before becoming a popular content creator, Sheryl worked ordinary jobs as she tried to build a better life for herself and her young son.
At one point, she worked as a waitress in Juja, where she reportedly earned about KSh12,000 per month. She also took hotel hosting jobs, earning around KSh700 per day.WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
Despite the challenges, Sheryl continued pursuing her passion for entertainment.
Her interest in performing started while she was still in school. During her Form Four year, she went against a school decision that had stopped candidates from participating in drama festivals. She attended the competition and ended up winning the Best Actress award.

Sheryl began posting music covers and lifestyle content on YouTube in 2021. Her popularity increased significantly in 2022 after her comedy videos and relatable content started attracting attention online.
Her collaborations with comedian I Am Kabugi also helped her reach a wider audience. The two became popular through their entertaining videos and challenges, although their close friendship led to dating rumours.

The young mother has also built businesses outside social media. She has ventured into the sneaker business and poultry farming while securing brand partnerships.
One of her biggest achievements was building a modern house for her mother between 2024 and 2025, a goal she had previously shared with her followers.
