Ruto Pleads with Former Raila Ally to Quit Politics, Reveals Why as Crowd Erupts (VIDEO)

President William Ruto have today urged former Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal to quit politics, adding that the former ODM aspirant can contribute to the development of the country in different capacities.

Speaking today during the signing of Agreement By DP World on Development of Mombasa Special Economic Zone at State House, Nairobi, Ruto said that he is aware that Shahbal is planning to run for Mombasa governorship in the next general elction. The President said that he had already informed that Shahbal that he is not in support of that move.

"I told Shahbal thay I know you want to run for the governor in Mombasa. I tokd him that I am against it," Ruto revealed.

The President said that Shahbal is a great entrepreneur who should forcus his energy in entrepreneurship instead of investing in politics.

He said that the Mombasa SEZ alone, under the stewardship of Shahbal, will employ more that ten thousand people, a prove that Shahbal is a great contributer to Kenya's development as an entrepreneur.

"Forgive me my brother Shahbal, you are a great entrepreneuor. It is not easy to come across people like you. We have too many people who can be politicians," Ruto said as crowd erupted into laughter.

The President said that many succeful people think that there is something special in politics, yet that is not the case. He cloamed that politicians face a number of challenges, incluiding being heckled.

"We need you in a different space. Look at what you are doing, you can make a huge contribution to Kenya. It is better than you being disturbed by the MCAs, being heckled or facing protests while being abused," Ruto told Shahbal, but is the President right? Share your thoughts.
