Panic As More than 10 People Get Trapped Inside a Lift for 40 Minutes Before Being Rescued

Panic unfolded at the Mövenpick Hotel in Nairobi when more than ten people became trapped inside an elevator for over forty minutes.

The incident caused significant distress among those stuck in the confined space before hotel management successfully rescued them.

According to eyewitness accounts shared on social media, the group remained confined in the lift for an extended period, leading to anxious moments as they waited for help.

A video circulating online captures the tense atmosphere, with one individual speaking directly to the camera while expressing the frustration of the situation. The clip shows the worried faces of those affected as they documented their ordeal.

The Mount Kenya region, which was instrumental in Ruto’s rise to power, has shown signs of political realignment, with some leaders advocating for greater regional unity ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Reports indicate that leaders in Kirinyaga County are pushing for the region to rally behind a single political outfit in a bid to strengthen its influence in determining the country's future leadership.

Should such efforts gain momentum, they could present a significant challenge to the ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance, ahead of the next election.

Speculation has also persisted over the political future of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, whose relationship with President William Samoei Ruto has been the subject of public discussion. Some reports have suggested he could align himself with an alternative political movement.

As Kenya moves closer to the 2027 elections, it remains uncertain whether these developments represent a coordinated political strategy or simply reflect proposals being advanced by individual regional leaders.
