Prof Lukoye announced Maureen’s death after her battle with cancer. In a tribute, he reflected on their 21 years of marriage and spoke about the difficulty of losing his wife.
Kilobi was among officials sworn in at State House after being appointed to the committee by President William Ruto.
Her nomination was made in July after she emerged from a group of 65 candidates interviewed for seven positions on the statutory body.

Maureen, meanwhile, built her professional career at the National Social Security Fund. She joined the organisation in 2007 as a Compliance Officer, where she dealt with matters relating to statutory contributions.
Prof Lukoye’s tribute described the depth of his loss as he remembered the years he shared with Maureen and said goodbye to his wife.
