"I Can Deputise Him" Gachagua Finally Names Opposition Candidate He Can Deputise in 2027 Elections

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed willingness to deputise Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna if the opposition politician emerges as the preferred presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking about the possibility of working together, Gachagua said he would be ready to serve as Sifuna’s running mate, signalling openness to a political partnership as opposition leaders continue exploring possible alliances. “I, Riggy G, can deputise Edwin Sifuna,” Gachagua said.

The remarks come amid growing political activity within Linda Mwananchi, where Sifuna has been positioning himself for the presidency while several leaders seek to consolidate support around the movement.
