Mukhisa Kituyi: Here is Why I Have Dumbed United Opposition for Linda Mwanainchi

Former UNCTAD Secretary-General Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi has finally broken his silence on why he dumped the United Opposition, exposing deep-seated mistrust, ego battles, and institutional chaos within the coalition.

Dr. Kituyi disclosed that after being named spokesperson and Head of Secretariat back in September 2025, he moved quickly to professionalize the opposition by setting up a centralized command center. He even paid deposits for offices and donated his own personal furniture to get things running.
