Lenku Allies Cry Foul, Allege Political Scheme Behind Governor’s Heckling During Ruto’s Kajiado Tour

Allies of Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku have alleged that the heckling witnessed during President William Ruto’s recent tour of Kajiado County was part of a carefully orchestrated political plot aimed at embarrassing and undermining the county boss.

The incident, which unfolded as President Ruto toured the region to launch and inspect various development projects, has sparked fresh political tension in Kajiado, with Lenku’s supporters accusing unnamed political rivals of exploiting the presidential visit to demonstrate hostility towards the governor.

According to the governor’s allies, the heckling was not a spontaneous expression of public dissatisfaction but a planned move by politicians seeking to weaken Lenku’s political influence ahead of the increasingly competitive political battles in the county.

The leaders claimed that certain individuals had allegedly mobilised groups to disrupt the governor whenever he attempted to address residents during the high-profile visit.

They argued that such actions were unfortunate and threatened to shift attention away from the development agenda that had brought the President to Kajiado.
