“They Lied to Raila Five Times,” Top Lawyer Sends Warning Over Ruto’s New Supporters

Lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir has criticised politicians who have recently become vocal supporters of President William Ruto, accusing them of abandoning the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga after benefiting from his political influence for years.

In a statement shared on his official X account, Kipkorir questioned the loyalty of politicians who are now publicly praising President Ruto, claiming that many of them previously stood firmly behind Raila during his five unsuccessful presidential campaigns.

“The loudest people now cheering President William Ruto are the same ones who cheered on and lied to Baba Raila Odinga to FIVE PRESIDENTIAL LOSSES!” Kipkorir said.

The lawyer further accused the politicians of misleading Raila while using his popularity and political networks to secure elective positions.

According to Kipkorir, some of those politiciansbenefited significantly from their association with Raila, eventually securing positions such as governors, senators, Members of Parliament and Members of County Assembly.

“They lied to Baba FIVE TIMES and on falsehood and hanging on his coattails got elected Governors, Senators, MPs and MCAs!” he stated.
